How HOLD works: Working with the Mortgage Advocate – My Safe Home Ltd for mortgage process. Mortgage up to £200,000 maximum, preferably nearer £100,000 – Income Support pay the mortgage. Rent and service charge, paid by Housing Benefit. Purchase New Builds (NBHB) or resales. Have a full repairing lease.
Receive support throughout the whole purchasing process from HOLD Coordinator at in touch. Support will continue until all benefits have been awarded. Will continue to receive support from My Safe Home with the mortgage for 3 years plus.
Eligibility Criteria Be over 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit. Be in receipt or eligible for Income Support, Incapacity Benefit for at least 13 weeks. Receive Disability Living Allowance. Have a Long Term Disability – Learning Disability, Mental Health, Physical Disability. Have access to set up costs of about £4000 Have a clear credit history To be currently living in accommodation which does not suit the needs of the client.
