Mental Health Services for Older People It is important because We are living longer There are more of us needing or who will be needing a service We want to stay in a home of our own as long as possible We want to use hospital or residential care only if necessary

Mental Health Services for Older People Element 3-inpatient and residential Use Callington and Southmead in long-term, saving between £500k to £700k to invest in other services. Expand number of admissions to 150 per year with length. Invest £60k in help for people in acute hospital. Over next 5 years reduce number of residential beds, releasing further £340k for community services.
