Effective Mentoring Reflection Questions for Building Impactful Relationships Featuring Kenya Masala and Sophia Beltran

Relationship Reflection

Consider the specific relationships in your life that are valuable and meaningful.

What qualities does the other person bring to the relationship to make it valuable to you?

What specific actions does this person take to sustain the connection they have with you?

What makes you want to continue to invest time and energy into the relationship?

What are the building blocks of this valuable relationship?

Role Model Reflection

What are some of your personal strengths you would like to share with others?

How are you connecting with your mentors? Do you know their strength’s?

What do you do with your mentors to role model conversation starters?

How are you engaging with your mentors to role model engagement? Are you asking your mentors questions about their interests, hobbies or personal goals?

How are you building confidence with your mentors? Are you developing their trust and confidence?

By taking the time to communicate in meaningful ways, both verbally and non- verbally, we support the success of the mentors and ultimately the mentees.

YOU create mentors who are confident, likeable, helpful and motivated so that they can create mentees that share the same important qualities.
