What we will learn today We will learn that there are many things in your house that are hot or can get hot and can hurt you

What kind of things in your house are hot or can get hot? Appliances like coffee pots, irons, space heaters Open flames like candles or fireplaces Liquids like coffee or hot chocolate

How many of you use microwaves to cook your food? Food can get very hot Make sure you cool your food before eating or drinking

Remember that matches and lighters can burn you. Do not play with them.

Hot water can cause very serious burns. Never play with water faucets Mom or dad should run your bath water or showers Stay away from hot liquids
