Timetable of events Monday 8 th October – deadline for submission of report and poster Tuesday 6 th November – poster presentation ceremony

Reports Guideline of one A4 side (can be longer if needed) Draft firstly by yourself and then your supervisor can add his/her comments A summary of your research project and the main findings Your reflections on what you have learnt through undertaking this project e.g. research skills and transferable skills Your feelings on how the work you have undertaken may be of use to you in the future e.g. in studying for your degree, in considering further study, in preparing you for future employment etc. Your supervisor’s comments on the above and any other comments she/he wishes to make

Presentation Ceremony 08:00Preparation (boards, posters, chairs, technical) 09: URSS Students arrive, collect posters and mount them on boards 10:00Invited Guests arrive Refreshments 10:15Introduction by Professor Michael Whitby 10:30Vice Chancellor address and certificate ceremony 11:30Exhibition Refreshments 12:30Doors open to rest of Student Union and University Community Lunch bags for URSS students 15:00Exhibition closes

Key things… Please arrive between 9am and 9.30am!! Be prepared – remind yourself about your project beforehand/re-read report etc Encourage your supervisors to attend from 10am For the presentation ceremony, sit on the allocated seats at the front Tell your friends, tutors, lecturers etc to come along from onwards to show their support

Key things… Celebration of your achievements, and also publicity for the scheme and launch pad for next year’s applications Stay by your poster for the duration of the exhibition so you are available to answer questions about your project and the URSS Scheme Photographs/video for publicity purposes. Please let us know in advance if you don’t want to be photographed etc From 3pm onwards you can take your poster down from the board and then it is yours to keep
