Welcome! Congratulations on your commitment to the health and well-being of your students. We all know that daily physical activity is a key component of a healthy lifestyle and an excellent tool in the fight against epidemic childhood obesity. But did you also know studies have proven that physical activity can help improve academic performance and school behavior? GetSweaty provides an easy-to-use tool to get and keep your students fit and help them learn better. GetSweaty.com is truly a win-win resource. It’s free for you to use in the classroom and for your students to use at home. – It’s never boring. We offer a new and different workout video each day called the Daily Sweat. – Kids stay motivated thanks to a rich point system that rewards them with valuable prizes just for working out. – Start a CREW and earn Cash for your Class, a bonus point system that offers classroom supplies or other school needs. GetSweaty is all set up and ready for you each day. It requires only free, simple equipment like cans, milk jugs and string. And thanks to our Teacher Tool, you can keep track of your students’ usage outside of school, as well as in the classroom, even if you use it as a group. No one ever misses out on their points It takes just minutes to set up GetSweaty for classroom use. Start here…

Start a CREW You can start a CREW from your teacher Welcome Page or from the home page. Fill out the CREW application and click Submit. We will set up your CREW and you a CREW passcode. Home Page

Now that you’re registered and have created your CREW, you can use GetSweaty in a group situation or assign GetSweaty for home use. Either way, your class’s total accumulated points appear on your Teacher Tool and you are also qualified to receive Cash for Class bonuses. Now you’re ready to register your class.

Fill out registration form Quick Tips For ease of remembering username and password, you may want to have kids use uniform usernames,( ie first name, last initial) and passwords (ie ) Children over 13, will be asked for an address. If they don’t have an , they can make something up to fill in the field.

Complete 4-step registration process for bonus points Quick Tip The GetSweaty Oath can be printed. You may want to have your kids print the oath and hang it in the classroom as a reminder of their commitment to fitness.

Have the kids join your classroom CREW CREW links are accessible from their profile page or the red Quick Links bar at the bottom of the homepage 1. Click on your school district 2. Click on your Class CREW 3. Have student enter CREW passcode (Note: This is the last time they will need this code) Complete CREW list and points will appear on this page

Now you’re ready to use GetSweaty in class. Just log in, go the Junkyard and play the Daily Sweat. When the workout is complete….. Click on “Manage My CREWS)

Select the appropriate CREW and workout View your Teacher Tool spreadsheet If you like, write a motivational message which will appear on your CREW page Assign points and track

Teacher Tool and Cash for Class Your personal TeacherTool updates and records points automatically whether you use GetSweaty in class or your kids use it at home. All accumulated points qualify you for the quarterly Cash for Class bonus. You’ll have a new Teacher Tool each month and access to past month’s in the archive. Based on the size of your CREW, you need accumlated points as indicated to receive your Cash for Class bonus. We will contact you at the end of each quarter to reconcile.

Additional Features Choose a workout other than the Daily Sweat from the Workout Library. No Excuses. Exercises kids can do anywhere, anytime. Info on how to use GetSweaty for kids, taking heart rates and various aspects of fitness Kid-friend info on eating Recognition: each time a child completes a workout or a number of other functions on the site, their user name appears here

The Junkyard When Harry Hamster gets here, points are automatically recorded on the child’s Profile Page After working out, a child can comment, rate the workout or send to a friend … all for additional points The Daily Energizer is a quick 3-5 minute workout

Profile Page After completing the registration process, each child has a private Profile Page This information recaps what the child input into the profile questionnaire Points and Rankings are automatically recorded here Read the “Daily Do” for additional points Check My Rewards for a complete list of prizes and point values Send a motivational message to a friend for additional points
