The setting of the book is mostly at Camp Half- Blood. But the book also takes place around the country.

Luke is the son of Hermes. He has been at Half- Blood Hill a long time. He helps Percy along the way to save Olympus. But Luke has a secret. Annabeth is the daughter of Athena. She has been a camp Half- Blood the same number of years Luke has been there. She has to help Percy save Olympus. Percy is the son of Poseidon. He has been accused of stealing Zeus's Lightning Bolt. He has to return it by the summer sootiest or there will be ware.

Mr. Brunner or Chiron is a centaur. A half man half horse mythological creature. He is the Camp director at Camp Half- Blood. He has to train Percy and his friends so they are prepared to defend themselves. Grover is a satyr or a half man half goat being. He is Percy’s best friend. He is also Percy’s protector or guardian. He has to go on a quest with Percy to save the world.

Poseidon is the sea God. He is also the father of Percy. But he doesn’t show much love to Percy. Zeus is the God of lightening. He hates Poseidon and Percy even though they are family. On occasion he tries to kill Percy.

A boy named Percy Jackson finds out he is the son of Poseidon. Now all these monsters are trying to kill him. On top of that he has to return Zeus's lightning bolt and he didn’t even steal it. Him and his friends[Grover and Annabeth] have to go on a quest to return it. Can he make it in time to save the world.

Percy does his first camp game ever, capture the flag Greek Stile. He has to doge swords and spears to stay alive. This is where he learns he is the son of Poseidon.

Now Percy is fighting Medusa. A monster that if you look at her you turn to stone. How do you fight a monster you look at? But of course Percy finds a way.

Now Percy has to fight a dangerous mattress salesman. If he doesn’t kill him his friends will die.

Percy has to confront his Uncle Hades. But his uncle tries to kill him. Luckily Percy escapes.

I would defiantly recommend this book to a friend. I think this book is awesome.
