The setting and where the main character lives is in a big three story house in a small suburban friendly neighborhood in the summer that is green and flowery, but mostly takes place during the school year. Another part of the setting is Dead Man’s Hill. Dead Man’s Hill is a super steep hill that is gravel covered and is very scary.

 Will Tuppence- Is a high school freshman that is 5 ft 9 1/2 inches, brown hair, brown eyes, ears a little big. He likes science, especially astronomy. A little shy, on the quiet side, but friendly enough and sensible.  Mi-su Kelly- Mi-su is one of Will’s best friend. She has black hair that is short enough to see the back of her neck. She is adorable theatrical and impulsive.  Anthony Bontempo (BT)- BT is one of Will’s best friend. He is the exact opposite of Will. A risk taker who lives for the moment. He was the first ever to skate down Dead Man’s hill.  Tabitha Tuppence (Tabby) – Tabby is Will’s annoying younger 5 year old sister who always likes to make Will mad. And would always get her way.

 The conflict is mainly about Will Tuppence dealing with his feelings for his best friend Mi-su. The cause of this conflict is when he finds his two best friends, Mi-su and BT kissing under the stars at the Star party.

The resolution of the conflict was after Tabby gets out of the hospital after her accident. Will realizes that he is very grateful to have a friend like Mi-su and they are better off as friends.

I thought that the book Smiles To Go was great! Because it had a suspense. I wanted to know what was going to happen next after events that happen through out the whole book. So the book was horribly…good!

 What was is your opinion when Will realizes that Mi-su and him are better off as friends? For sure I thought that they would be together because Will really liked Mi-su.  Why do you think Will was jealous of BT kissing Mi-su? He was probably jealous because he hasn’t gotten his first kiss yet.  Why does Tabby like to make Will mad a lot? Because that’s her way of showing him she loves him.  What was your reaction when Tabby went down Dead Man’s hill? I was really shock because who would go that far for not going to the chess tournament.  Do you think that Mi-su really likes Will? Well not exactly because I think that she would rather be friends with him.

 Will is a science nerd that witnesses his two best friends, Mi-su and BT kissing. After he saw them kissing he has been thinking of Mi-su for a long time. He asked her to a dance, but got rejected. So he goes to a chess tournament to defend his title, but has to forfeit because his sister was in the hospital because she skated down Dead man’s hill. After the accident he finds out who his sister really is and that she really loves him. He finally realizes that Mi-su and him are better off as friends as for now.
