Class Summary In this class you explore how AutoCAD® Civil 3D ® corridor models can be used to create dams. Earthen embankments, Roller Compacted Concrete spillways and even Labyrinth structures can all be generated with out of the box tools such as generic and daylight subassemblies.

Learning Objectives At the end of this class, you will be able to: Build dam corridors using generic and daylight subassemblies Perform initial volume calculations for alternative analysis Optimize surface creation from corridor objects Develop tools to streamline corridor modeling for dam designs

Build Dam Corridors Using Generic and Daylight Subassemblies

The Dam Corridor’s Ingredients Whether it is used to design a road, bridge, stream channel or dam, all corridors require the following Civil 3D® objects: Alignment Profile Assembly and Target (Surface, Feature Line, Polyline, Elevation or Distance)
