Election Guidelines A. Qualification of Candidates 1. A regular member of the CIOF Foundation in good standing. (Annex A: List of CIOF Foundation Members) 2. A member shall be considered in good standing if he/she has paid the membership dues as a lifetime member or as an annual member.

Election Guidelines B. Disqualification of Candidates 1. A member is not qualified to be a candidate if he/she has not paid the prescribed membership dues either as a lifetime member or an annual member.

Election Guidelines C. Qualification of Voter/Nominating Member 1. A CIOF Foundation member in good standing. For this purpose CIOFF Member shall mean Regular Members. 2. A member shall be considered in good standing, PROVIDED, that the member has paid the membership dues as a lifetime member or as an annual member.

Election Guidelines D. Disqualification of Voter/Nominating Member A member is not qualified to vote if he/she has not paid the prescribed membership dues either as a lifetime member or an annual member.

Election Guidelines E. Other Provisions  Nine Positions for the Board of Trustees are open for nomination and Election.  To determine the qualification of each nominee, a list of members qualified for nomination as screened by the ELECOM with the assistance of the CIOFF Secretariat shall be ed to all the members of the Foundation.  Any member qualified to vote is automatically qualified to nominate a candidate who meets all the qualifications and none of the disqualifications.  For any member who nominates more than three (3) candidates, only the first three in the nomination received by the CIOFF Secretariat from the said member shall be considered.

Other Provisions (cont.)  In case the number of nominees is less than Nine, the ELECOM shall open the table for additional nomination  In case the number of nominees equals Nine, the ELECOM shall declare them automatically elected as the New Board of Trustees.  In case the number of nominees exceeds Nine, the ELECOM shall proceed with the Election, canvassing and proclamation of newly Elected CIOFF Board of Trustees

Election Guidelines E. Other Provisions (cont.)  The list of CIOFF members qualified to vote shall be prepared by the ELECOM with the assistance of the CIOF Secretariat.  Only those in the list of CIOFF members qualified to vote shall be given ballots which shall be filled up in the designated polling place and shall be dropped at the ballot box immediately after.  Proxy voting shall be allowed, provided that a Proxy Voting Form has been submitted and approved by the ELECOM.

Election Guidelines E. Other Provisions (cont.) The services of an elected Trustee who resigns or will be appointed to and will assume any government position on full time basis shall automatically be considered resigned effective on the date of his appointment to such position. The Chairman shall then call for a special meeting of the Foundation for the purpose of electing a new Trustee to replace said resigned Trustee and to serve the remainder of the unserved portion of said resigned Trustee.
