April 2013 Updates: Alma’s News, Part 3

Enjoying a quiet morning at the park together

Alma and I travelled for two hours to the city to watch “Room on a Broom” at the Opera House. Alma knows the book well (in Hebrew) so was very excited to see the stage musical. The play was certainly worth the long journey: it was a funny, well played and well designed adaptation, adding lovely songs and very good puppetry with a sense of humour to the great story book. Alma was especially terrified and excited by the dragon...

On the long ride back we shared a large serving of fish and chips from Circular Quay. Hahgoot refused to come so stayed home with Barak but after she heard our fun adventures, she said she might come next time... Sometimes being jealous has positive results...

It was so nice to see the Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay at sunset

Alma has been enjoying the magic kit Adrian gave Hahgoot for her birthday and happily performed tricks for her dad (he is being very surprised, though it is hard to tell as he doesn’t use facial expressions much...)

Other pass-times Alma enjoys: Left: Depositing coins (connect-4 chips are good too) Right: Colouring in “Debbie the magnetic bear” outfits Bottom: Jumping off stairs (the rule is she can jump only off the last step)

Hahgoot made Alma a lovely spontaneous card, just to tell her she loved her. Very sweet!

Alma (who will be turning 3 in August) fits into size 4 clothing! As usual, she is thrilled with the wardrobe change... This is a new set we got in our latest trip to Israel.

Left: Alma is the only kid I know that thinks Brussels Sprouts are yummy! Right: enjoying another experimental homemade icy pole: blueberries and peaches in yogurt.

All this activity has made Alma very tired, but she has adventures even in her sleep...

In our next presentation: It’s Apple Picking Season in the Mountains!
