Letter To The Reader You will love this magazine that is full of memories that will make you laugh and maybe make you cry. These are my life experiences and only probably a sixteenth of what I have gone through throughout my 13 years of living. You will read about my crazy family members who I couldn’t love more. You will also get to know me in some ways. I intend for you to know what my life is like in different ways. My favorite piece is ‘Remembering You” it is about my grandpa. He was my role model. He was funny and crazy. It is a poem I do not want you to miss! Well I hope you like the little pieces of memories I have written. Yours truly, Paige Buttery

Sanibel, Florida We go to a extraordinary place named Sanibel every year with my mom’s side of the family, and Martha’s always there. Martha is the desk lady who has an attitude every time you ask her a question and she never smiles. She’s very antisocial. There’s a clear blue pool and a hot tub and we can walk right out to the beautiful beach. We stay in condos, but it feels like we are staying in a royal palace. Every other year we go with my second cousins. We already have 20 people with just my mom’s side so with all my other cousins you can only imagine how many people we know go. There’s always a lot of people, but I don’t mind. We celebrate Christmas down there. Each year two days after Christmas we go to the outlet malls and shop! We get money from our grandma for Christmas, but by the end of the trip I usually have spent it all. I love going to Sanibel each year and I hope we will never stop going and the memories will forever continue.

Boys vs. Girls Even though it helps people become independent, life isn’t fair because girls are treated different than boys and Life isn’t and will never be fair. When you are a kid you think life is really unfair even though it’s most likely not even close to being as unfair as some other kid’s life. Some kids think life isn’t fair because they don’t have a phone, but it’s ridiculous because there are some people who just want a house! “Life isn't fair, but it's still good.” I like this quote because it is true. Life may not always be fair and you may not always get whatever you want but it’s still good! No matter what happens, life is always going to be okay. Another example that shows that there are people out there that have cancer and are just beginning their lives is... I think this is another example because some people still have a life to live and they get diagnosed with the rarest most death threating type of cancer. It’s horrible. The most important reason life isn’t fair is because kids in Africa are starving and theirs people who have millions of dollars and don’t do anything to help them. Some people who do have tons of money don’t give money to people who actually need it! Just like all those famous people and athletes, I bet some of them don’t give anything to kids that need it and they all have more than they will ever need. So you can see that although it helps people become independent, life isn’t fair for two main reasons. First, there are people out there that have cancer and are just beginning their lives. But most importantly, kids in Africa are starving and theirs people who have ‘millions of dollars and don’t do anything to help them.

Best Friends by choice, Cousins by chance Hanna is more than just my cousin, she’s my best friend. We have been friends ever since I ran around in diapers. She is my main go-to-girl and the one I tell everything to and I don’t know what I would do without her. I love how she doesn’t care what people think of her and how she tries to make everyone laugh, she’s my role model. She makes everything we do fun, she can even make a simple trip to target fun, trust me it’s happened. She raced down the long narrow aisles of Target with me in one of those carts that has a place for your babies to sit and “drive the car” she was laughing and of course I was laughing and she kept saying “watch out here we come” That is one memory out of like millions I’ve had with her. Hanna is funny and crazy and when we are together we are always laughing. Hanna lives in Florida so I only see her twice a year but we are usually on the phone or facetiming every single day. I love her more than anything and I am so thankful to have her in my life.

Haunted Classic I was so scared it was crazy. My stomach had this airy feeling. It had probably been the most intense game ever, tied the entire game, went in to overtime 3 times, and now we had to do penalty kicks. This was the finales for the seasonal Haunted Classic tournament. First up was Cassidy, everyone could see how scared she looked. She kicked it a little to hard and it went over the goal. The girl on the other team went and she made it. Next was one of our players, Arianna. She looked fierce and confident. She ran up to the ball and kicked it right past the goalie! After that the other team went and of course made it. Our team came after that goal and missed it. The girl on the other team had to make the next shot or we had another chance. She kicked it hard straight into the corner and made it. I uncovered my eyes and couldn’t believe it. We are a wistful team. Our team had wanted that win badly, but second wasn’t so bad. We worked on PKs at the next practice. We were all baffled.
