THE MARVOLOUS MIDWEST BY: TOUR GUIDE OWEN “I’ll be taking you through the landmarks, landforms, natural resources, and waterways of the Midwest” “Brought to you by 4C.” If questions come up ask your guide.

LANDMARKS A famous site is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame located in Cleveland, Ohio. Another is MOUNT RUSHMORE (built by Gutzon Borglum) with the face of Presidents Lincoln, Washington, Roosevelt, and Jefferson.

LANDMARKS Part 2 The Midwest is the home of the Mackinac Bridge that more than 10,000,000 vehicles have crossed. It has been here since 1880 that connects the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. Plus another famous site is the Gateway Arch, one of the biggest arches in the U.S. (a very popular tourist section) located in St.Louis. If you like planes go to the Air Force Museum located in Ohio.

NATURAL RESOURCES The Midwest has a lot of apples thanks to Johnny Chapman, but that may just be a legend ??????????? You can find lots of farms with corn, wheat, berries, grapes, oats, & soy beans. There are fish from the Great Lakes.

WATERWAYS Lake Michigan borders the west side of Michigan. Lake Superior is North of wisconsin. Lake Erie is North of Ohio. Lake Ontario is west of New York Lake Huron is to the east of Michigan And all together they make the GREAT LAKES.

LANDFORMS Some landforms in South Dakota are the Badlands, lands made up of rock & clay and have been here from million years old and is a national park for them Plus the Great Plains are also here too, which is the Midwest’s source of wheat
