 Introduction › Why we need campus tour system(CTS) ? › Where can CTS be used ?  Related work  System Architectures  System Implementations › Outdoor › Indoor  The rules of indoor positioning  Demo  Conclusion

 Get lost in campus  Go to the destination directly  Save time for finding a path  …

 CTS can be used in the whole campus even inside the building

 RSS(Received Signal Strength) algorithm

 With GPS signal, the phone will obtain the latitude and longitude.

BSSID

 Our cell phone will receive the information about access points. › Use WLAN Scanning module.  BSSID : MAC address of the access point.  Rx_Level : Reception level in dBm.

 Rule 1: Find out the five strongest Access Point to compare with the first database (DB1).  Rule 2: Use a heavy-weighted method.

Part of DB1

Access pointsFloor numbers 00:13:C3:65:B7:501 and 2 00:13:C3:65:BE:801 and 2 00:04:E2:D6:AC:391 and 2 00:13:46:9A:8F:8C1 00:16:B6:94:12:EB1 Floor 1

Part of DB2 signal strength

 Hardware  Software

 Provide a positioning system to tourists or people who are not familiar with YZU.  Combine indoor and outdoor positioning.
