Expository Text Generate clarifying questions: Discussion: Why doesn't president of Mexico want to accept help from other countries? Curiosity: Do the narcos kill people just to get more power? Connections: Text to Text: This article is almost the same as the article that I read when I did my find exam in the first semester talks about the drug cartels in Mexico. Text to Self: This article is related to me because when I went to Mexico last year I saw a lot of violence between the narcos and the police. Text to World: I heard in the news about the drug cartels killing people and selling drugs. Summary: In the article “ The Perilous State of Mexico” by David Luhnow discuss about that each year with the drug cartels kill a lot of people also he compares all that with the Islamic radicals in Pakistan.

Figurative Language Author: Personification: His shadow shouts on a nightmare scream. Imagery: The caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still. Mine: Simile: The birds narrow cage which is like a prison can seldom see through his bars of rage. Metaphor: The free bird is a person walking in the street. Symbolism: The caged bird symbolize the African American for freedom. Hyperbole: The birds wings were so big. Allusion: The caged bird want Feronia to safe them. In her poem “Caged Bird” May Angelou use figurative language. She uses personification and Imagery like” His shadow shouts trill of things unknown”. She use personification and Imagery in this poem to help the reader understand poem. It also helps the reader mental/ visual image. She didn’t use a simile like “ The birds narrow cage which is like a prison can seldom see through his bars of rage because she wanted to focus only in that she wrotes.

Functional Text The purpose of this graph is to shows the United Kingdom (England) Forecasting. The graph doesn’t have much space in the colors to identify what is what. Also the bars need more space. The Adds confuse me when I'm reading it. The title should be in the center and could be more bigger.
