Expectations We will work IN CLASS until Monday Due Monday at the end of the period or Tuesday at the beginning of the period (Reinforcer given) IR for each day late

Informative Writing Goal – To educate the reader Compare an informative video to an argumentative video… Informative Argumentative

Informative Writing Technique – To provide facts – NOT to convince Compare the informative statement to the argumentative statement… 1. Recent studies about genetically-modified foods indicate that GMOs may cause harm to monarch butterfly caterpillars. 2. GMOs are deadly and must be stopped for the future of our children!

Informative Writing Tone – Objective (no emotion, no opinion – just the facts) Can you find the objective statement? 3. This is the apartment we live in. It has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. We have lived here for 12 years. 2. This place might look like nothing special, but since both of my children were born while we lived here, it has a special place in my heart. 4. When we move away, we’re planning to release three hundred cockroaches and two mice, so we can leave the place exactly as we found it. 1.
