Why is this important? They appear everywhere in looking, designing, and the thing you’re making… for example: Requirements Analysis: users’ artifacts, your notes, your scenarios, ??? Designing: sketches, mock-ups, even Post-Its in project planning, ??? Your project: web content, icons, red/green LEDs, variable names, class hierarchies, ???

Why is this important? Is a video the same as being there? When we point at a picture and say “There is Joe”, what are we missing?
