Assessments: We will be assessing the students throughout the year. At the end of each six weeks we have reading level goals. ELA, Science and Social Studies are assessed at the end of each 6 week grading periods. Math is assessed at the end of each Math unit. *We will be assessing beginning, middle, and end of the year with D.R.A., Star Reading, and SMI (Math). Think about what will happen next. Stop periodically and ask: Who? What? When? Where? Why? Readers who are struggle need to me monitored during reading. If they practice wrong, they will not improve their reading levels. Take turns reading. Model reading to your child.
