Victorian Research Project Powerpoint presentation requirements

Expectations - You will research some aspect of what is commonly called “The Victorian Era.” (England 1830’s-1890’s) After compiling facts about your specific topic, you will be placed in a group (2 – 4 students). Your group will be responsible to create and present information about your topic in the form of a slide show. Your presentation should be a MINIMUM of 3 minutes. All group members must present a portion of the project to the class.

60 points total Rubric: 5 pts for each round bullet Audience Member: 10 pts PPT: For each slide: Relevant title Text is easy to read – Stands out from background – Large: Can be read from back row – Use of adjectives/figurative language Relevant pictures: Min – 1 Max – 4 Background – Relevant to slide topic – Does not distract Overall: Required number of slides : 9 – 15 – First slide – topic everyone’s name – Last slide – cites where you found materials. Presentation All members speak an equal amount Students add verbal explanation and analysis – Text is bullet points, not sentences – Students explain each topic/example Students use: – Projection (volume) – Diction (speak clearly) – eye contact (look at everyone) Practice is evident – Students aren’t reading off the presentation – Lots of eye contact – Able to easily explain their part Min: 3 minutes Max: 5 minutes Please note: 10 points will be awarded if you are a good audience member NOTE: Having appropriate animation will help your score EXTRA CREDIT!
