Flat ground We have flat land all acroos the grassland region. The grassy hills of Little Bow Provincial park.

Deadlands  Hoodoos where carved out by the Red Deer river.  The Badlands are where many fossils are found.

Bodies of water  Milk river provide recreation are as for fisher,campers,and canoeist.  Rivers and river valleys provide habitat for animal life.

climate  Most areas of the grassland have low rainfall. The badlands have desert like condition.

Natural resoures Oil and gas resource are very important to Alberta wealth. The province produce about 80 per cent of Canada’s oil and gas much of this is exported to other countries

Wind In southwest Alberta near pinches creek there is a wind plant with 200 turbines. In two hours a wind turbine can supply a home for a mouth.

Vegetation  Large areas where tall grasses and few trees grow are called prairies.  The last 100 years settlement and develoloment has changed turned into farm and ranchland.

Animal life  Before the grassland region was settled  By farmers and ranchers huge herds of buffalo gazed there.  A few small herds of pronghorn.  Antelope remain in the grassland region.
