Why Do You Relay? WHAT’S YOUR REASON TO RELAY? Mark you calendar for SATURDAY, MAY 14, and join the fight! Check out the Relay For Life of Henrietta website at Picture here I Relay because I've seen friends and loved ones suffer from cancer, and some have not survived their awful battle. I don't want to see my loved ones suffer.

Why Do You Relay? WHAT’S YOUR REASON TO RELAY? Mark you calendar for SATURDAY, MAY 14, and join the fight! Check out the Relay For Life of Henrietta website at Picture here I Relay in honor of my father, Bob Strohmeyer. He was a hard working man all his life, and not only was he a great Dad, he was a great friend to all who knew him. In his younger days, he worked as a Laborer doing construction in which they installed a building material called asbestos. Little did we know that over 40 years later, he would develop Mesothelioma – lung cancer caused by asbestos exposure. He fought a valiant battle, but unfortunately it took his life in March of My husband Tizo got involved in Relay for Life and encouraged me to attend a Committee Meeting. From that day on I was hooked on Relay! I felt like I was doing something positive to take away some of the sadness of losing my Dad to cancer. After my first Relay, I drove home thinking about how I may have lost my father (who was such a big part of our family), but I now have a much bigger Relay family! If what I’m doing today will help someone else to either prolong their life or totally beat cancer, then I will gladly do whatever I can to make that happen. Join us in the Fight – support Relay for Life! But I warn you – once you experience Relay, you will never be the same!

Why Do You Relay? WHAT’S YOUR REASON TO RELAY? Mark you calendar for SATURDAY, MAY 14, and join the fight! Check out the Relay For Life of Henrietta website at Picture here I Relay because my husband and I have lost too many friends and family to this disease. We have watched loved ones fight for themselves and for their children. Relay gives me the unique opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission by fighting back against a disease that has already taken too much from all of us.

Check out the Relay For Life of Henrietta website at Picture here This year’s Relay is dedicated in support of a beautiful young lady, Jill, who is currently fighting against leukemia. I also Relay to support others who are currently fighting a courageous battle against this disease, such as my step-mom Evelyn and my Aunt Mary—all are leading a valiant effort against cancer right now in their lives. I Relay to remember loved ones lost... I Relay In Memory of my dear Dad, my special Aunt Marie, my precious Grandma Marge, my dear Mother-in-Law, Irma, my wonderful Uncle Americo, and my very special friend, Sue--all whom have lost their lives to cancer. I also Relay to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer... I Relay In Honor of my brother-in-law, Paul, who fought a struggle with leukemia and is healthy today. I also Relay to "pay forward" the blessings I have received, as a leukemia survivor myself. I Relay in the hope that we will one day see a world with less cancer and more birthdays!
