Where is Jamaica located? Jamaica is an island of the Greater Antilles. It is situated in the Caribbean Sea about 145 kilometers (90 mi) south of Cuba, and 190 kilometers (120 mi) west of Hispaniola.

Flag, Motto, Anthem: The motto for Jamaica is “Out Of Many One People”. The Nation Anthem for Jamaica is called “ Jamaica Land We Love” The flag contains the colors Green, Yellow, and Black.

Sports: Jamaica’s sports consists of: Cricket, Netball, Track & Field, Association Football and Horse Riding.

Government and Politics: Jamaica is a parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy with the monarch being represented by a Governor-General The head of state is Queen Elizabeth the second, who officially uses the title “Queen of Jamaica“ Jamaica's current Constitution was drafted in 1962 by a bipartisan joint committee of the Jamaican legislator. It came into force with the Jamaica Independence Act, 1962 of the United Kingdom Parliament, which gave Jamaica political exile. This was followed by a reformation of the island's national anthem.
