BELLWORK What was the Catholic Reformation? What was the Council of Trent? How did the Catholic Church try to stop Protestant thinking? What is baroque? Who were the Jesuits? THINKER: What do you still need to do for your moviemaker project? Write a list!

Renaissance/Reformation Scavenger Hunt For the first part of class, you and a partner will participate in a Scavenger Hunt. There are five stages – each clue will require some knowledge about the Renaissance and Reformation The clues will lead you to your next stage, so each one must be fully completed! Use your notes and Chapter 5 (pgs ) to answer the clues. This is a race and winner gets extra credit, but… It is also a grade! For each stage you complete you will get 2 points, for a total of a 10 point assignment.

Scavenger Hunt: RULES! There are seven rules that you MUST follow at all times. If you break one of these rules, you will have a two minute penalty in the race. 1.Only one teammate leaves the room at a time. 2.When you leave, you must take a pass off the door AND your I.D. 3.When going to get your next clue, do NOT go inside the classroom. All clues are on the outside of the doors. 4.Ms. Bruggeman must confirm that your answer is right before you leave. 5.When you retrieve your clue, you must come back to the room to solve it with your partner. 6.When you return, write your names under the stage you just completed, this is how I will tally your points. 7.Do not roam around campus, go straight to the location and return to my room immediately.

Clue Example Directions: Fill in the missing information about the Renaissance. Once you are finished, the letters/numbers in boxes will determine where your next clue is at. Before you leave, check with Ms. Bruggeman that your answer is correct. 1.Who invented the printing press? □ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 2.How many wives did Henry VIII have? ___  Now, add 1, and your answer = □ 3.How many legitimate sons did Henry VIII have? □ **** You are going to Room Number: ___ ___ 0 ___
