 Students know how to see clock  They are able to identify time in hour min and seconds  They can calculate their known age from date of birth

This activity maps the students ability to classify time in minutes, hour and days. There are so many things going around in our environment which give clue to divide the time slot in various categories. As a teacher, I can use this activity to make students understand the concept of time in simple manner

 Minute slot The activity which takes minutes to complete, falls in minute slot. This also gives an idea about how well time can be managed in a busy day. Some of the activities which could be finished in minutes are : 1. A bath 2. To boil milk 3. Iron cloth 4. Packing bags for school 5. Checking homework 6. Wearing shoes and dress 7. Cleaning bicycle 8. Taking breakfast 9. Placing things on right place in room 10. Counting coins

 Hour slot The activity which takes hours to complete, falls in Hour slot. Some of such activities are : 1. To stitch a shirt 2. To set curd 3. A school day 4. Doing homework for subjects 5. Playing outdoor 6. Preparing breakfast in the morning 7. Examinations hour 8. Gardening

 Days slot The activity which takes days to complete, falls in days slot. Some of such activities are : 1. To knit a sweater 2. To weave a sari 3. For a banana to ripe 4. Excursion/holiday/vacation

This fun activity helped student understand time division in an easy way. Response by the students includes 1. Proper management of time in day-to-day life 2. Understanding various activity like it takes weeks to grow a plant, minutes to take bath etc. 3. They are eager to learn how to see watch, which is big achievement
