How the poor dressed In Tudor times young men wore white silk shirts frilled at the neck and wrist .They also wore a tunic ,hose and a soft hat. They used rough cloth to make these clothes at home. Young women wore long dresses made of wool , the often wore apron over this and a bonnet on there heads.

What did rich people wear Young ladies wore long gowns with wide sleeves, drawn in at the waist whist the skirt was held out by hoops. Rich young men wore white silk shirts frilled at the neck and wrists. They also wore close-fitting trousers.

What did the poor eat? The couldn't afford much so they didn’t have a choose .They bread formed a very important diet. It had to be baked in the lords oven, and for this he charged a fee. White bread made from wheat was too expensive. Instead ,poorer people are bread made from cheaper crops such as rye.

What did the Rich people eat? The rich ate well. Servants put several courses on the table at the time, so that diners could choose what order they wanted to eat them in. There dishes were often elaborate, using many spices which had to be brought by ship from Asia or the Caribbean.
