Room 1619 MS. VAUGHN’S WORLD HISTORY CLASS - Please get out both paper and a writing utensil. You will have 10 minutes to write an essay response to the following question on your paper. Essays are at least three paragraphs in length. How did history influence your summer vacation?

WELCOME! Welcome to World History with Ms. Vaughn. Objective: Students will demonstrate an understanding of classroom rules and procedures. I am here to teach; you are here to learn. Website -

What is World History? In World History, students observe the many influences and time periods which have led to the development of modern society.

Tutorials are offered Wednesday before school and Thursday and Friday after school. Students shall sign-up for tutorials ahead of time on the tutorials sign-up sheet. Students who sign-up for tutorials and fail to attend are subject to lunch d-halls at the teacher’s discretion. Tutorials

Grading Policy Major Grades – 60% Quiz – 2 Daily Grades Daily – 40 % You choose your grade by the effort you put in. Extra credit is available. There are also online study tools on the class website. You can come see me if you have any questions. Grades

Students will have three school days to turn-in late assignments for a maximum grade of 80. Late-work cannot be re-made for a higher grade. Work submitted electronically will not be accepted. Work will need to be turned in personally in order to receive credit. When a student is absent, they are responsible for all missed work. There is a folder for each subject. It is the student’s responsibility to check this folder within five school days of their absence. Work is recycled frequently. If the student has not gotten their copies within the five days of their absence, then they are responsible for retrieving the work from the website. Refer to school and district policy for extended absences. Work submitted electronically will not be accepted. Work will need to be turned in personally in order to receive credit. Students correcting assignments have one week to turn in or come to tutorials for any needed corrections. Assignments may be redone for a maximum grade of 70. Late Work

You are the only one who determines the quality of your future. Thank You!
