Do Now Attempt to make a sentence using at least two of the following words: complexity, resourceful, culture, element, tradition For Example: The complexity of this problem is figuring out the elements within the culture that make it unique and resourceful.

Definitions Complexity (n.) the state or quality of being intricate; difficulty Culture(n): the behaviors and beliefs characteristic of a particular social, ethnic, or age group : Element(n): a natural habitat, sphere of activity 2. a component or constituent of a whole Resourceful(adj.) able to deal skillfully and promptly with new situations, difficulties, etc. Tradition (n.) the handing down of statements, beliefs, legends, customs, information, etc.,

Mini Lesson Readers use vocabulary to explain how their characters inner traits/qualities change over time.

I - Thought Antonia was very rash when she brought Tashi to the zoo. Even though she brought him, food and medicine for the day. She did not understand the complexity of the zoo and the dangerous elements that surrounded Tashi; especially the lions! By the end, Antonia seems to be neglectful of her dog’s safety and her own. TRY IT OUT!!! Use three vocabulary words in an I- thought that show how your character changes.!!!
