Get Active Coryton Primary School ‘s vision for our playgrounds.

Parent Teacher Association  Collaboration of staff and parents raising money to achieve the shared goals of the school.  Some examples of fund raising events Movie Night Bag2School Xmas Fayre Easter Egg Hunt Summer BBQ and fete Summer Disco  Local business support  Matched Funding Companies will match the amount raised by the school, PLEASE can you ask your employer if they run this scheme?

OUR VISION  Using our outdoor space to maximum advantage  Outside learning in line with the Foundation Phase and Key Stage Two Curriculum  Proven to significantly improve concentration, enhance problem solving and social skills  Healthy, fit and active children  Promoting the image of the school, creating pride  A rolling programme of improvements and updates  Timely communication of monies raised to target  All parents and teachers actively engaged with the school

Costs and Fund Raising Targets Health & Safety legislation increases equipment costs significantly Example prices: Slide £5,000 each Zip Wire £7,000 Tumble Trail Equipment £2,500 Bespoke equipment will be negotiated and sourced from local suppliers as much as possible Target £25,000!! (aim high and we can achieve a playground that supports every child’s development)

How can you help achieve our vision? If you can spare any time to help us maintain our school grounds please let us know. Areas in which you could help…. Gardening (planting wooden boxes, weeding, trimming, Paul’s garden etc) Painting wooden structures (once a year repaint/varnish) If you have the skills and could help make any of the following please let us know. Benches, seating around a tree Willow weaving, basket making or any other natural crafts Artists – to work with children to create a sculpture, using recycled materials. If the company you work for could donate, sponsor or match fund however large or small we would really appreciate it. We would ensure that the company/business was mentioned on communications with parents, on the school website and PTA site. Please help in what ever way you can Support all PTA events and any school fundraisers when you can.
