Living Things are called Organisms, they are individual and complete, living thing.

Biology is The Study of Living Things...

Organisms are: Made of Cells - some are unicellular others are multicellular

Organisms are: Highly Organized - each cell is complex structurally and chemically

Organisms Use Energy - all living things need energy. Living things constantly build the substances that they need.

Organisms Grow and Develop It takes place in a specific way, this growth and development is different for each kind of organism.

Organisms Reproduce themselves - they produce offspring. Reproduction is necessary for the continued existence of a species

Have a life span - a fixed length of life Organisms

Respond to Stimuli - The ability to respond to stimuli is typical of all living organisms. Biologists call this property irritability.

Organisms Adjust to their Environment – ( adapt & evolve) Any change an organism makes that makes it better suited to its environment is called adaptation.
