ASSIGNMENT 1

The building envelope includes all of the exterior layers of a building that come in contact with the environment. In this photo you can see 3 components of this building’s envelope, the exterior walls, windows and the awning. The photo shows three building layers. The first floor, or surface layer, is the public level. The second level, or near surface layer, is semi-private. The washing machine in my home displays an Energy Star label because it is energy efficient. My home, Miramar, FLn 3 ENERGY STAR RATED Energy Star Label

The tape on the A/C unit in my home contains a UL (Underwriter’s Laboratory) Label. This means this product has passed UL safety testing and received certification. My home, Miramar, FLn 4 UL LISTED UL Label

The doorway pictured is accessible because the doorway is a minimum of 36” wide and there is a 5’ turn radius in the approaching hallway. In addition the door hardware is latch style, easy for people with special needs to operate.
