What do scientists and engineers do? What does it mean to be alive? Can I predict what will happen next? Does the Earth need taking care of?

What every student should learn about Life Science What does it mean to be and stay alive? How do living organisms interact with and fit into their environment? How are all living organisms related? Or: What is the evidence that all living organisms use a common genetic information system?

What every student should learn about Physical Sciences What is everything made of? (How do particles combine to form the variety of substances one observes?) Why do things happen? – What force caused that action? ( How can one predict an object’s continued motion, changes in motion, or stability?) What is energy? ( How is energy transferred between objects or systems?)

What every student should learn about Earth/Space Science How does the earth fit into the rest of the universe? How and why is the earth constantly changing? How do humans depend on Earth’s resources? and How do human activities impact the Earth?
