Christmas

1. Commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ The most important part of Christmas is people attend church services. Some children re-enact the events of the Nativity with animals to portray the event with more realism or sing carols that reference the event.

2. Putting decorations Decorations may include Christmas trees, bells, candles, wreaths, angels, lights and banners. The traditional colors of Christmas decorations are red, green, and gold.

3. Giving gifts and cards Exchanging of gifts and cards are core aspects of modern Christmas celebration. Cards may contain messages, poems, quotes, prayers or Bible verses. Giving of gift is based on the tradition associated with St. Nicholas.

4. Food! Food! Food! A special Christmas family meal is traditionally an important part of the holiday's celebration, and the foods that are served are the family’s own specialty.
