What to study for your chapter 1 test Mrs. Guilfoyle

How does climate affect culture ?  We viewed a film and you made notes on this.  Climate can affect the clothes you wear, the sports you play, the food your eat the type of job you have. Event the architecture of buildings.  Be sure to give examples in your answer.

Material and non-material  We viewed a film, pages in the text book discuss this. You made notes and did activities on this topic.  Sort these items into material and non-material. Church, pew, songs, sermon, bible, spirit, cross, alter.

Elements of Canadian culture  You will need to give examples of the following elements of Canadian culture  Beliefs and values ( saw film)  Government  Art/music/sport  Pages 12 and 13 discuss this. You did activity #2 on page 14.

Culture and you  Pages 6 and 7 deal with types of culture. The power point on my wiki culture and you gives examples.
