The way trainee teachers are graded has changed. This is to identify and support trainees as early as possible, so that they have the potential to become good or outstanding by the end of the course. Assessment  Weekly observation by School mentor / classteacher  On-going formative feedback  Two visits from SE Tutor (one visit for UG SE1) to include a joint observation  Joint agreement of grading by School Mentor and SE Tutor  Mid-point (except for UG SE1) and final SE Reports. Grading  ‘ Meeting the Teachers’ Standards’ booklet Assessment and Grading of Trainee Teachers
