Thesis The US government should enforce laws to prevent companies and industries from polluting our water supply.

Clean water is the key to survival. All bodies of water connects, so bacteria can spread anywhere. 6.6 billion people live on earth that requires clean drinking water

Clean water is the key to survival Since waste, germs, and chemicals spread quickly many have no fresh water Earth’s surface is 70% water

Chemicals are harmful to the natural cycle of organisms living Toxins in water spread through the food chain of marine animals Farming chemicals wash into rivers blocks sunlight from animals that need it

Chemicals are harmful to the natural cycle of organisms living underwater During the 1950’s, scientists found mercury inside the fishes from Minamata Bay Medical drugs flushed down the toilet disrupts animals reproductive systems

Disease spread with unclean drinking water Many countries don’t have modern water systems, so people get water from unclean rivers and streams. Disease like Cholera, Typhoid, and Diarrhea spreads

Disease spreads with unclean drinking water. It was estimated that 2 million people die each year of water diseases and most are because of unsafe water supply
