The school is situated in a Community First area and as such is a Community First School. In the recent Estyn inspection (Jan 2008) Woodlands Community Primary School achieved Grade 1 in ICT, Science and Music. Lisa Bodenham has taught at Woodlands Community Primary School since 2000 and has been the co-ordinator for ICT and Science since Since September 2008 she has been working for the LEA on a secondment as ICT Advisory Teacher. Her innovative practice and approach to effectively integrating ICT into the curriculum was also recognised in the recent Estyn Inspection, whereby she achieved seven Grade 1 lesson observations.
