1) Current: CERN-DEM is the UNIQUE MPGD production facility (generic R&D, detector components production, quality control) 2) Future MPGD R&D: Long-term planning and reinforcement of CERN-DEM workshop infrastructure is crucial to advance large-area MPGD (including large-area MPGD R&D, production of demonstrators) Bigger sizes (continuation of MPGD R&D) Bigger sizes (continuation of MPGD R&D) New equipment New premises GEM, Micromegas, THGEM + personal GEM, Micromegas, THGEM + personal + infrastructure 3) Technology Industrialization  transfer “know-how” from CERN workshop to industrial partners for MASS PRODUCTION
