NECESSITY Osian – Jodhpur (NH-65) This road provides good connectivity from Jodhpur to Phalodi via Mathania & Osian. It connects NH-15 to NH-65. This is an Important route for the Army. Its provides alternate route for the strategic traffic leading to Jaiselmer. It starts where the NH-15, (Bikaner – Jaiselmer) take of point is 2/100 at Phalodi after City Limits and ends at NH-65 (Jodhpur) at 122/000 of SH-61 before City Limits of Jodhpur. It lies on the Osian which is very famous for Osian Mata & Jain Temples. Osian Mata Temple was built in 7th Century and its architecture has its own credit. Lot of Hindu Pilgrims daily came to visit these temples. This area has got historical and religious importance. It has got 3 LC’s on the route in which 2 LC’s has TVU more than 2.0 Lac. The Solution is required.

NECESSITY Mathania is a Busy Industrial Town and Traffic intensity is much more as the Road width is available in Built Up area. Mathania Bye Pass is required. Commercial traffic is available due to Mining, Agriculture & Industrial activities Number of Sharp Horizontal & Vertical Curves has be redesigned as per Guidelines of IRC. Few new Culverts are required. Lifting of Causeways and Vented Causeways are required.

The Bye Pass is proposed to Bye Pass 2 Busy Level Crossing at 105/000 & 114/0, in place of construction of 2 ROB’s over it. At Osian (Built up area), the road is proposed with 4 Lane CC road with Paved Shoulder & Drain. (Approx. 2.0 km). Osian Circle at Osian mata Temple is Bye passed with new shorter alignment which is with more flat Curve. A hairpin bend at Ummednagar is Bye passed with proposed new Bye pass before Ummednagar. All Horizontal & Vertical Curves shall be designed as per designated speed with all the requirements of Highway Design.
