Variety Trials The 2004 variety testing season was a challenge for most varieties. Early rains affected root development which affected yields. Blue mold was a challenge for many producer and for the variety trials. Newer varieties like KT 204, KT 200, NC 2002, & NC 6 faired very well in these adverse conditions as well as KY 14 x L8 and N126.
