BALTDEC Basics implementation Workpaper for development of an database - was distributed in May 2004 to PoC-s - Proposed the ideas for further development - no comments so far

BALTDEC Basics Database 1-st version was distributed to PoC-s in October 2004 Comments and revision: - Estonia - Latvia - Lithuania - Sweden - USA  2nd version was distributed in April 2005 (waiting for counties revision)

Future perspectives To develop searchable web-based database? To include also national military- environmental projects, to get a better view about the present situation? Some other perspecitives?

WG session on BALTDEC Basics Based on IS papers (database and framework document) - in principle terms discuss the development of database so far - Discuss the possible ways of usage of the database (useful tool or not? Why?) - Compile different models of database a) How to use this information and how to make it available to others (website based? Own Baltdec web-page, usage of other organisations web-pages?) b) Make proposals who and how should be responsible for maintaining the information c) Make proposals how the get the information renewed

WG discussion report Should include clear statement, if there need for a database and the database should be developed further (what way?) or, there is no need to develop database any further (it is useful as it is) (maintainance needed?) or, there is no need for database as such and further development isn’t needed
