Puritans And Quakers By: Miles and Brian

Puritan movement began in England and developed in America. Puritan was how they identified a party in the church of England. The Puritans were smart because they planned ahead and built houses on the land. They were under the rule of King Henry the VIII when he created the church of England. They were called Puritans because they wanted to purify the church of England Who me?

Quakers are Christians and aren’t well liked by Puritans because they didn’t share the same beliefs. Quakers are also called the religious society of friends. The Quakers worship informally, Quaker women were sometimes accused of witchery. Quakers don’t approve of alcohol. Their meeting houses are plain and they reject war. Remember me?
