Oscar Quezada Period 3

This section is about how clinical psychologists and social workers are types of mental health care. One recognizes abnormal behavior. Another counsels patients and provides a link between the patient and the treatment center. They help people that have mental disorders. They work in many ways, like helping the families adjust to mental illness. Introduction

The main idea of this story is to identify and become familiar with the types of mental- health specialists that can help you with your disorder. Main Idea

A social worker is a mental-health professional who counsels patients and provides a link between the patient and the treatment center. A clinical psychologists is a mental-health professional who specializes in recognizing and treating abnormal behavior. If Billy had a sudden, radical in personality, a social worker would get him to a hospital where the clinical psychologists can take care of him. If a student has a mental disorder, it’d be important we get him to a psychologist. Types of mental-health specialists

Experienced Story Well, Tony had a sudden, radical change in personality, so I went up to him and I asked him if he was okay, he said, “yeah, I’m fine thanks.”. I didn’t believe him, I had that gutty feeling he had something he was hiding. I went to a social worker, and I got him to setup an appointment with a clinical psychologist at the local hospital. It occurred that the psychologist had asked him if he was sad, lonely, depressed, and feels worthless. Tony answered to all questions. The psychologist diagnosed him with suicidal thoughts. We got him to therapy and he’s getting better.

Topic This topic is mostly about how people can get help, and the types of help you can get. I want the class to remember that your not alone.

My section was about the types of help you can get from hospitals or professional workers, or psychologists if your in need of mental-health. Section Summary
