The red panda lives in china at a place called Sichuan, Yunnan in a bamboo rainforest. It lives in the part of the understory layer. The red panda is red with white spots. The head and body length is 56 to 63 cm (22 to 25 inches) and their tail is about 37 to 47 cm (15 to 19 inches). The red panda eats bamboo, insects, fruit, and fresh shoots. The red panda is endangered because of the loss of nesting trees and bamboo. Their predators are snow leapord's, marteens, and humans. An important fact is that they are part of the racoon family.
