Health and Regeneration in North West Edinburgh Purpose (Workshop 10 th May 2011) To create “a platform for integrated services improving health and well being by providing better services and appropriate additional services” Aims  To contribute to the regeneration of “Muirhouse as a desirable place to live”  To meet the increasing demand for services from the expanding Waterfront population  To improve efficiency by bringing together staff teams who are currently based in a number of sites

North West Edinburgh Key Benefits Services are fit for purpose Gaps in care pathways are addressed Better information sharing (where agreed with clients) Staff from different agencies able to work together Individuals and families with complex needs can be offered services better tailored to their needs Facilities are compliant with modern standards

North West Edinburgh  Buildings don’t significantly improve the wellbeing of people  Choices people make about their lives are much more important  CEC and NHS are committed to supporting the local population to build on community strengths and assets
