SANTA AGEDA Javier Fernandez and Eukeni

Santa Ageda’s Day is on the 5th February. We celebrate it in the Basque Country but in this year we aren’t going to celebrate, because we don’t do this activitiy. Santa Ageda is only at the school.

We go to the squares singing “Aintzaldun”. It is the song of Santa Ageda’s Day. And at the same time we hit the floor with a stick. People sometimes give sweets or candy to the children.

We wear special clothes. We wear Basque farmer costumes. We wear this costume, because is traditional in the Basque Country. We wear blue blouse, blue trousers, a Basque traditional hat and special shoes.
