City of London Award criteria Explanation/ verificationPoints evaluation These criteria relate to parameters that will be in place from the commencement of the contract and responses will become contract terms. - Commitment to fuel efficient/ green/ eco- driving (7%) Only courses comprised of a practical element in addition to any theory-based elements will be deemed valid. Dedicated training on the use of installed driver monitoring systems will also be deemed valid. [A list of drivers and their corresponding eco-driver certificates should be made available when requested] Referring to drivers & vehicles involved in the execution of the contract: 4 points = Commitment to have put all staff through eco/fuel efficient driver training or to have installed driver monitoring system(s) or fleet/fuel management system(s), before contract commencement 3 points = As above, within 6 months of contract commencement 2 points = As above, within 12 months of contract commencement 1 point = Commitment to have trained the majority of drivers within 12 months of contract commencement 0 points = No commitment to training drivers or installing any such devices within 12 months of contract commencement. - Tyre: Fuel Efficiency, Wet Grip and Exterior noise emissions (3%) This information is available as part of the EU Tyre Labelling system. From November 2012, manufacturers must accompany all tyres produced after 1 July 2012 with stickers, labels and technical promotional material. Distributors (e.g. tyre dealers, repair shops, car retailers) have the obligation to make this information available at the point of sale in a clearly visible position. 4 points = Fuel Efficiency A and Wet Grip A and Exterior noise 68 dB or less 3 points = Fuel Efficiency B or higher and Wet Grip A or higher and Exterior noise 70 dB or less 2 points = Fuel Efficiency B or higher and Wet Grip B or higher and Exterior noise 70 dB or less 1 point = Fuel Efficiency C or higher and Wet Grip B or higher and Exterior noise 72 dB or less 0 points = Fuel Efficiency less than C or Wet Grip less than B or Exterior noise more than 72 dB
