4 Short history Independent life of IDAMS for micro computers under MS-DOS 1993 – release – release – release 4.0 (last release for DOS) 1998 – release 4.0 in French and Spanish

5 Short history With IDAMS towards Year 2000, and thus to Windows operating system 2000 – test version of the first release for 32-bit Windows operating system (WinIDAMS) 2001 – release 1.0 of WinIDAMS in English 2002 – release 1.1 in English, French and Spanish 2004 – release 1.2 in English, French and Spanish

6 International co-operation The software has been and is continuously being enriched, modified and updated by the UNESCO Secretariat with the co-operation of experts from different countries namely American, Belgian, British, Colombian, French, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Slovak, Tunisian and Ukrainian specialists. 7 ITAG Since the beginning, IDAMS project has always been developed with the help of specialists in statistics and informatics from different regions of the world.
