Salamanca Summer Program: A Healthy Body = A Healthy Mind Six weeks of two hour classes daily, Monday through Thursday taught by Richard and Christina Wade ACHIEVE funding was used to buy water bottles, pedometers, materials and healthy snacks for the students. Remaining funds were used to pay in part the salaries of the instructors. Slides that follow show some of the programming.

A Healthy Body = A Healthy Mind C. Wade and R. Wade Students used their body, senses, and mind to develop healthy habits by eating healthy snacks and doing fun exercises. Students learned about the foods that were good for their bodies.

The older students learned that vitamins and nutrients helped different parts of the body. Students used their pedometers while they walked around the school and grounds.
