MR. LUCERO’S CLASSROOM PROCEDURES & EXPECTATIONS 2013

ENTERING THE CLASSROOM Enter the room in a respectful manner –Room 6211is a classroom, treat it as such Gather what you need (Books, notebooks, handouts,etc..) before class begins Sit in your correct seat by the time the bell rings Tardy to class = 10 push-ups & loss of bell work points

ONCE THE BELL HAS RANG Find out what is going on in class for the day by reading the left side of the front board –In the box will be a list of what will be accomplished for that day

ONCE THE BELL HAS RUNG continued Begin Bell-Work –You will have around five minutes to finish once the bell has rang **Attendance will be taken at this time** –Most of the time you will keep your B.W. once the 5 minutes are up You should keep the weeks B.W. in your notebook If asked to turn it in, place the B.W. in the basket –Bell work will be collected every Friday

TURNING IN WORK & PASSING IN PAPERS All work that is turned must be placed in the basket on the front table –Turn in homework within the first minute of class or it is late. (Late work = ½ credit) Passing up papers –Each person in the front row is responsible for collecting the papers behind them –Once all collected they will pass the papers toward the teacher’s desk

RESTROOM You may only use the restroom after the first 15 minutes of class and up to the last 15 minutes of class You will need to sign out on the classroom log Use the class pass when you leave (Located below the bobble-head on my desk)

ENDING CLASS Last 5 minutes of class –Clean-up Take any items used during class and return them to where you got them from (books, materials, chairs notebooks) –Ticket out the door There may be a question that must be answered and turned in before leaving –When & How to Exit class Sit in your desk until the teacher dismisses you. Leave class in the same manner in which you entered

Miscellaneous Items Respectful language must be used –No use of curse words in my class Either in first or third person –Ten push-ups for each curse word used No Food in class –Only drinks that have screw on lids allowed

Expectations of Students Respect yourself and others –Act and speak appropriately in class Responsibility for learning –You only get what you put into your education Effort and Perseverance –Try your best and keep working hard Be Here x 3 –Be in class mentally –Be in class physically: don’t miss school –Be in class on-time
