Facts The red- eyed tree frog is green and has red eyes. They have blue and yellow stripes on their sides. Being green helps the red- eyed tree frog blend in with tree leaves. It sleeps in the day and hunts at night.
Where does the red-eyed tree frog live? It lives in the rainforest of Central America as far north as Mexico. It lives in the canopy layer of the rain forest.
Canopy Layer The canopy may be over 100 feet above the ground. It is made of tree branches and leaves.
What does it eat? It eats moths, fish, drogonflies, water beetles and tadpoles.
